Abstract
Books have an important function as media to disseminate science and technology information which is needed for advancement of a nation. Books are always needed for the improvement of education, research, and science-technology development. Moreover, books are important means to conserve nation culture. Books can reflect identify as a great nation that is able to maintain and develop its own language. The provision of books is uselesswithout children reading interest. However, book reading interest of our society is still low. Therefore, an effort to increase books reading interest needs to be encouraged through many ways. The interest of book reading will make someone has a broad outlook, a firm understanding on concept, and an aopenness attitude. Furthermore, they can easily develop imagination, communication, and more mature. The result that can be reached through that pleasure is a characteristic of a learner (Some who likes learning). If the activity is conducted by most of the members of a society, learner community will be developed. This learner community greatly yearns for by nations which are eager to move forward to keep survive in facing global challeges.
